This is AutoOps AI's own capability review, published by the product team in 2026. It is not an independent review, customer testimonial, or benchmark. Its purpose is to give a prospective user a direct account of what can be demonstrated in the application today and where the boundaries remain.
For individual engineers and consultants
An individual account can work from uploaded PDFs, spreadsheets, documents, and supported images without an SAP connection. Users can chat over their material, generate reports from templates, build FMEAs, manage CAPAs, and author or run SOPs and playbooks. Generated PDFs are stored in the report library.
For SAP-connected plant teams
Plant workspaces add organization membership, role-based access, a synchronized SAP snapshot, plant-oriented dashboard context, SAP-grounded chat, and optional quality-notification write-back. The integration currently covers work orders, BOM components, routing operations, quality notifications, and production confirmations.
Structured quality and procedure modules
- FMEA projects contain failure modes, effects, causes, S/O/D scoring, calculated RPN, suggestions, owners, actions, CAPA handoff, and PDF export.
- CAPA records progress through staged containment, root-cause, corrective-action, and effectiveness work with AI drafting available to assist the author.
- Escalation rules evaluate overdue CAPAs, notify configured contacts by level, support acknowledgement, and resolve with the CAPA.
- Playbooks and SOPs support ordered steps, roles, estimated time, required steps, images, version history, approval, PDF export, and checklist runs.
Current security and governance controls
The application uses server-side sessions, organization-scoped data access, owner/admin/member/viewer roles, private object storage with signed URLs, append-only audit records for important actions, and AES-256-GCM encryption for SAP credentials. AI requests use Anthropic's API; the product states that customer data is not used to train models under the applicable API terms.
What AutoOps does not currently do
- It is not an MES and does not dispatch production or control equipment.
- It does not calculate OEE or provide real-time machine telemetry.
- It does not currently claim SOC 2, ISO 27001, MFA, or SSO/SAML availability.
- It does not provide a native mobile app or multi-plant orchestration.
- It does not replace engineering, quality, IT, or supervisory approval.
Who should evaluate it
The strongest fit is a quality, process, manufacturing, or operations professional who already has source material but spends too much time turning it into structured analysis and documentation. For plant teams, the fit extends to SAP-connected manufacturers that want a bounded read, answer, report, and quality-workflow layer without treating AutoOps as an execution system.
